It seems that after reviewing hundreds of Marbel Run reviews by different manufacturers, there is a loud cry of 'the structures fall apart too easily'. As I contemplated which set to get my 5 yr old son for Christmas I settled on this.This set is about as durable as you can be in a plastic set. The variety of pieces and number of pieces are a great value! The pieces have a fairly decent fit considering that they can't be so tight that kids can't assemble them on their own. If folks are having trouble with keeping their creations together, it's because they didn't build it with proper supports in the first place.. it's basic physics here! LOL! Which, I might add is part of the educational value of marble runs!This is a pretty decent set and if you don't want to pay the mega $$ for a wooden set.. this isn't a bad choice at all! I am a former Preschool teacher myself and I would definately put this in a preschool setting as well- they are that durable!Very Happy with this purchase!

I teach preschool and bought this to go with a previous set we had, because the preschoolers are so disappointed if too many children are already playing and they can't play with the marble run. It takes a great deal of thinking to set the run up so that marbles flow through, but our 4 and 5 year olds are able to do it, and even if they're not totally successful, it still works and they can see where they want to make adjustments. Pieces are fairly durable as long as children aren't overly rough with them, and it holds together fairly well once they make it, so they can run marbles through. I definitely recommend this product!

Very educational and fun, yes, it needs some adult supervision for a 4-year old, but my son loves it. Thousands of combinations. It doesn't fall apart if you put it together correctly. Overall a much better product than I realized b/c my wife executed the purchase. Fun for kids and adults!
