Quadrilla Twist & Rail

Product Description

Quadrilla Twist and Rail is the versatile introduction to the Quadrilla system. Quadrilla is the next generation of marble runs. It is a system of blocks, tracks and accessory pieces that allow the energy of a marble to travel down a make-your-own path. Beautiful wood tracks and a rainbow of colored blocks, each with a different function, are the starting point for endless constructions for marbles to drop to a new level, go right or left, swirl in a funnel, or pour out of a teeter totter. Quadrilla's versatile design allows a child to determine the marble's path and the options are endless. Simple 2 or 3 level switches or complex multi-level, multi-direction layouts are possible depending on the builder's understanding of the function of each piece. this is a logical, sturdy product where the process of building is as much fun as the process of playing. Quadrilla blocks are colored in child safe, water based stains. Includes 97 pieces plus 50 marbles and a Play Tips DVD

Fun toy that can be reconfigured in many different ways. November 13, 2011
By Mommy Kind
Durability: Educational: Fun:
We bought this for our son who was close to 3 years old last Christmas. He absolutely loves it. I can understand why another reviewer said that she understood why the toy stores glue the pieces together. Luckily, my son is pretty gentle on his marble run towers, so it doesn't come crashing down after we assemble it. I like how there is a bunch of different arrangements that come in the manual. We've done a different arrangement each time. We love the colors and the feeling of the rubber wood. The only problem is when my son's friends come to visit, they take down the whole structure. And the same goes for our train table. They tear off the tracks, bridges, and trains. It just really depends on the kid. If you have a gentle 3 year old who doesn't tear apart his train table tracks, he/she will probably love this marble run.

My son got this toy as a gift from someone when he was 4.At first, his daddy had to help him, and my little one just used to play for a short time. Now he's 6 years old, and he's good enough to build it up by himself in 5 minutes!I've noticed as he gets older, he gets more interested in this toy, and now he's so skillful.Everytime, he enjoys to set different arrangements by himself.

A wonderful challenge! January 14, 2012

Durability: Educational: Fun:
My six year old received this as a gift. He was very excited, because he'd played with other types of marble runs at friends' houses. It is very well constructed and worked well when set up on our hardwood floor. However it was quite time consuming to build the runs. The directions showed a few different set ups, but he definitely had to have adult help to build it, and it took us almost thirty minutes to build it. He and my three year old loved playing with it, until the 3 year old knocked it down, and we had to build it again. I'm sure that my son will be able to build it by himself with some practice, but I would recommend it for an older child, unless the parent plans to help.

A hit with pre-schoolers.
My 4 1/2 and nearly 3-year-old grandsons and their friends love this toy. It's well built, colorful and fun. It's a little pricey, however.
